“The first-ever official website and comprehensive historical resource for the life and music of Fela Kuti” now out in addition to the reissue of his 1980s album Music Of Many Colours.
Developed in close partnership with the Kuti family, Partisan and Knitting Factory Records, this brand new web site aims to provide all the latest news about Fela from reissues to events and, more broadly, all that concerns the work of Fela Kuti. To launch this new website, Chris May wrote a new era-by-era history of the Nigerian afrobeat legend.
Fela’s longtime manager Rikki Stein declares: “Twenty-two years after his passing, this testament illustrates and illuminates the myriad reasons for which Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his works are, ever-increasingly, respected and admired throughout the world.
